Purpose of the role
To provide an efficient warehouse service to all areas of the business through the warehouse, goods inward and dispatch area. Ensure that all goods received and dispatched are correctly logged and accounted for, moved to the correct location & protected from damage and deterioration through proper storage. Perform FLT duties when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Unloading/loading of all deliveries and collections within goods inward, dispatch and warehouse department supporting build area when required
- Maintain a secure storage environment for all items retained in the warehouse to protect from theft or misappropriation. All movement of items in and out of warehouse should be properly tracked, recorded and accepted at its destination
- Prepare sub module items for use in the assembly of machines ensuring that the correct quantity of items is selected/picked and that stocks are replenished when needed.
- Contribute toward continuous improvement initiatives
- Prepare goods for dispatch by ensuring they are clean and fit for delivery
- Help maintain a tidy and organized warehouse working environment (Sustained 6S)
- Carry out administrative tasks to ensure accurate information is available e.g. on \βKits\β stock levels and orders, scan delivery notes, adding BOMs to the system for kitting
- Ensure compliance with ISO14001, ISO9001 and OHSAS18001 and support a culture of lean and continuous improvement
Knowledge, Experience & Skills
- Must posses a Forklift Truck licence and UK Driving Licence
- IT literate / be comfortable using computer systems (training will be provided)
- Awareness of SHEQ
- Experience of preparing and packaging goods for transport
- Experience of working with customs for receiving and sending of goods
