About The Role
As Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role within our finance team, supporting accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis. You’ll help translate financial data into meaningful insights, enabling the business to understand performance and plan effectively.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Analyse financial data and report on budget variances
- Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
- Assist with cost analysis and profitability reporting
- Support financial reporting for senior management
- Maintain and update financial records and finance systems
- Assist with audit processes and provide supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Part-qualified accountant (e.g. AAT) or working towards a professional qualification
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Confident communication skills when presenting financial information
Experience
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role (preferred)
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g. Visual or similar) is an advantage
