MPAAS are an accredited Meter Operator and Meter Asset Manager which means that not only do we own the smart meter asset, but we can fit the smart meter on behalf of your energy supplier. This makes us the face of the energy supplier; the ones who visit your home or business and our qualified Dual Fuel Meter Installers undertake the installation. In addition to this we also undertake revenue protection work for our energy suppliers. That’s why we pride ourselves in delivering first class customer service to all of our consumers. From the point of booking through to installation our personalised consumer journey keeps everyone informed every step of the way.
Summary of the role
You will be required to visit customers' property to fault find, repair and maintain their smart meter. You will be given full training to be able to diagnose and repair a smart meter, this could be swapping the sim, reprogramming, battery resets or recommissioning. Travel will be required with this role, sometimes national. If/when you are required to stay away from home, all accommodation will be provided. Communicating with customers, dealing with any concerns they may have over their smart meter.
What we are ideally looking for in you
- Full training will be given but any previous experience within the utilities/metering industry would be beneficial.
- Full, manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Training will be from our head office in Haydock, Merseyside. You will be required to travel to Haydock to undertake a 1 week training programme.
- Ability to travel/work away from home when necessary.
- Manual dexterity – Ability to use tools such as screwdriver, cable cutters etc.
Salary & Benefits Overview
- Basic Salary: £27,846 (£30,608.50 if inside the M25).
- Equipment Provided: Company vehicle & fuel card (Business use only), mobile phone, uniform, tools.
- Attendance Bonus: £150 per month.
- Annual Leave: 23 days + 8 bank holidays Plus 1 Incremental service day, up to a maximum of 25 days annual leave.
