About the Role
MPA Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Service Assistant – Security / Car Parking on behalf of our client in Lisburn.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Security Officer to join a busy healthcare environment, providing a combination of security, car parking and portering support.
The successful candidate will help maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff, responding to incidents, carrying out patrols and supporting the wider hospital team.
Key Responsibilities
- Security & Safety
- Carry out internal and external security patrols on foot and by vehicle.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms and requests for assistance.
- Deal professionally with suspicious, threatening or aggressive behaviour.
- Protect patients, staff, visitors and Trust property.
- Report incidents, accidents, security breaches, faults and damage appropriately.
- Liaise with the PSNI when required and assist with investigations.
- Provide escorts for staff where necessary.
- Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports.
- Car Parking & Portering
- Support car park management and monitor traffic flow across the site.
- Report parking issues and obstructions.
- Support priority portering duties when required.
- Move confidential waste and lost property in accordance with Trust procedures.
- Assist with the movement and escort of cash where required.
- Carry out occasional cleaning duties as required.
What We’re Looking for?
Essential Criteria
- Must be 18 years of age or over.
- Minimum 2 years’ previous experience working in a security role.
- A current full UK driving licence enabling you to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use your own initiative and work independently.
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts.
- Professional, calm and customer-focused approach.
Security experience means experience working as a Security Officer in a complex environment with significant footfall.
