MPA are currently recruiting Senior Care Assistants for the Coleraine area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated care team within a rewarding healthcare environment. Immediate starts available with flexible shifts and varied duties, supporting residents while working alongside experienced healthcare professionals. Ideal for candidates who are passionate about delivering high-quality care. Pay rate £15.00-£17.00 per hour.

Duties:

  • Carrying out medication administration
  • Personal care
  • Assisting with mealtimes and nutritional support
  • Supervising and supporting care assistants
  • Supporting the Unit Manager with developing and implementing support plans and audits
  • Coaching and mentoring of current staff, inducting and training of new starters and shift planning

Essential Criteria:

  • At least 1 year’s experience working within a similar role
  • Professional qualification in Nursing/Social Work or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience working within a Senior Care Assistant role
  • Previous Medication administration experience required
  • Ability to complete paperwork and update care plan notes

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in supervising or leading a team of care assistants or healthcare professionals

Rewards:
