Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day production activities to ensure output, quality, and efficiency targets are consistently achieved.
- Leading, coaching, and developing production teams while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Driving lean manufacturing initiatives, focusing on waste reduction, process optimisation, and cost efficiency.
- Managing production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
- Monitoring KPIs and operational performance metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards and promoting a strong safety culture across the site.
- Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues and improve operational performance.
- Managing production budgets, resources, and staffing levels to maximise efficiency.
- Maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to resolve production challenges.
- Supporting new product introductions and ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing processes.
- Championing continuous improvement projects and encouraging innovation across the production function.
- Providing regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior management.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire teams.
- A demonstrated track record of improving productivity, quality, and operational performance.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- The ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
