We also supply into a wide range of private facilities across NI, so we always have an abundance of shifts for our carers. We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Residential Support Workers to join our supportive and friendly team. We are heavily recruiting in the Omagh area for our client Woodbank House part of the Apex group β our hourly pay rate is very competitive at Β£13.47 per hour.
Job Summary
As a Residential Support Worker, you will work closely with other healthcare professionals to support patients in their daily needs, ensuring they receive safe, dignified, and person-centred care.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting patients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
- Supporting individuals with mobility and helping them move safely around the facility
- Monitoring and recording patients\\\β conditions, such as temperature, pulse, and respiration
- Helping patients with day-to-day tasks and encouraging independence
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare staff
- Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
- Ensuring that patient rooms and care areas are clean, tidy, and safe
- Assisting in the preparation and delivery of meals and drinks
- Following infection prevention protocols and safeguarding policies
- Updating patient records accurately and timely under supervision
- Supporting nurses with clinical tasks as trained and delegated
Requirements
- Previous paid experience in a care setting (6 months min) in the last 5 years
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care (preferred)
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Right to work in the UK (or applicable region)
- NISCC Registration
