Key Responsibilities- You'll lead the full production function, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality output.
- Overseeing day-to-day production operations, ensuring targets for output, quality, and efficiency are consistently met.
- Leading, coaching, and developing production teams, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Implementing lean manufacturing principles, driving waste reduction, process optimisation, and cost efficiency.
- Managing production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
- Monitoring KPIs and performance metrics, using data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards, promoting a safe working environment and continuous safety improvement.
- Collaborating with engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to resolve issues and enhance operational performance.
- Managing budgets, resources, and staffing levels, ensuring optimal utilisation.
- Driving quality standards, ensuring products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Leading root-cause analysis and corrective actions to address production issues.
- Supporting new product introductions, ensuring smooth integration into production.
- Championing continuous improvement initiatives, encouraging innovation and operational excellence.
- Reporting regularly to senior management on performance, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
