Operatives to join our client based in Newtownards. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established and supportive team.
As a Warehouse Operative you will be working within a busy environment as part of a team assisting with the operation in the warehouse area.
This is a multifunctional role assisting in picking, storage, loading and unloading of products within the warehouse and you will have responsibility for quality, safety, hygiene, output, cost and accurate record keeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing customer requirements in a fast, efficient and accurate manner.
- Carry out checks and report on non-conformances as they arise, troubleshooting and creating plans to avoid any future issues.
- Participate in training for any new equipment/technologies as they are introduced.
- Able to work unsupervised under direction from the Warehouse Controller.
- Ensure that all relevant systems, documents and processes are completed as instructed.
- Lead by example, demonstrating highest personal standards in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.
- Along with other operatives, be responsible for ensuring that the department supports the delivery of site KPIs, (customer service, quality, cost, sustainability and H&S).
- Continuously strive to raise the quality and standard of all tasks undertaken and support process improvement activities with formal and informal teams.
- Work in a collaborative manner and communicate effectively with other functions on site with a particular focus on production and engineering.
- Develop own performance by completing relevant learning and development activities.
Working Hours
6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working in a production or Warehouseenvironment
- Ability to use hand tools and basic machinery confidently and safely
- Physically fit and able to work on your feet for extended periods
- Excellent attention to detail and a good level of manual dexterity
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Hold a valid counterbalance forklift license and attend refresher courses as required. (Reach truck forklift may also be required)
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Immediate availability to start work
