MPA Recruitment is currently seeking compassionate, dedicated, and motivated Support Workers to join our team across a range of Supported Living Schemes, Housing with Care Facilities, and community-based services throughout the Derry/Londonderry, Strabane, and Limavady areas. About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide person-centred care and support tailored to the individual needs of tenants. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help promote independence, wellbeing, inclusion, and quality of life while ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and review of individual support and care plans.
  • Support tenants to develop and maintain independent living skills, including personal care, domestic tasks, social skills, and community engagement.
  • Act as a key worker, providing ongoing support and guidance to assigned tenants.
  • Monitor and report any changes in tenants' health, wellbeing, or behaviour.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of activities, outings, holidays, and community events.
  • Complete support assessments, reviews, and outcome-focused support plans.
  • Build positive relationships with tenants, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies.
  • Promote inclusion and support tenants to engage with their local communities.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete administrative duties to a high standard.
  • Ensure services are delivered in line with RQIA standards, Supporting People requirements, and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Provide effective communication and handovers between team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.

Essential Criteria

  • Option 1: QCF/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification).
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience in a formal care or support role.
  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs.
  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Current NISCC registration or willingness to obtain registration within six months.
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI Disclosure check.
  • OR Option 2: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a formal care or support role.
  • Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs.
  • Previous administrative experience.
  • Current NISCC registration or willingness to obtain registration within six months.
  • Willingness to work towards a relevant Health & Social Care qualification.
