Plumber (Temporary – Potential for Permanent Opportunities)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber to join a busy maintenance team operating across the Derry/Londonderry area.

This is an excellent temporary opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality plumbing maintenance and repair services across a range of domestic, commercial and industrial properties, while providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of health and safety.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Carrying out plumbing repairs and maintenance on both void and occupied properties.
  • Diagnosing faults in domestic plumbing and heating systems.
  • Completing repairs, replacements and servicing of plumbing systems.
  • Installing sanitary ware including toilets, baths, basins and cold water storage systems.
  • Carrying out Legionella testing where required.
  • Working closely with colleagues to deliver an efficient and professional service.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Leaving work areas clean, tidy and safe on completion of each job.
  • Completing all required paperwork and electronic documentation accurately and on time.
  • Following health and safety procedures, industry regulations and company policies at all times.
  • Undertaking any other reasonable duties required to support the maintenance team.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Time-served Plumber or hold a recognised plumbing qualification with relevant practical experience.
  • Previous experience working within the construction or maintenance sector.
  • Good knowledge of domestic and commercial plumbing systems.
  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Valid CSR Card.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience working within the social housing sector.
  • Experience using a PDA, smartphone or mobile working device for job management.
  • Access NI clearance (or willingness to obtain).
