MPA Recruitment is currently hiring Band 3 Support Workers to join our team in a Day Centre Setting supporting adults with additional needs. About the Role
You will work alongside experienced staff in a structured day centre environment, providing person-centred care and support to adults with a range of additional needs. The role focuses on enabling individuals to live as independently and comfortably as possible. This is a Mon‑Fri position 9am‑3.30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality personal care and support to service users
- Support individuals during meal times, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Encourage and promote independence and self‑care skills
- Assist with mobility and physical support when required
- Carry out general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Engage with service users through effective and respectful communication
- Contribute to a positive, welcoming, and inclusive day centre environment
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a similar support or care role
- NISCC registration (or willingness to apply)
- Willingness to complete training courses relevant to the role
- Ability to undergo and pass an enhanced Access NI check
Desirable Criteria
- Health and Social Care qualification (e.g., Level 2 or higher)
