About the Role
MPA Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced HGV / Class 2 Driver on behalf of an established and growing drinks distribution business based in Belfast.
Our client operates a large-scale distribution operation, supplying a wide range of quality drinks products to customers across Ireland.
With an extensive product portfolio and a well-established logistics operation, they are looking for a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver to join their team.
The role offers £15.00 per hour initially through MPA Recruitment, with the opportunity to transfer to permanent employment after 12 weeks, subject to performance and suitability.
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries, ensuring products are transported safely and providing excellent customer service at each delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete multi-drop deliveries to customers across Northern Ireland and Ireland as required.
- Safely load, secure, transport and unload products.
- Check deliveries against relevant paperwork and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
- Provide a friendly, professional and customer-focused service at every delivery.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or issues promptly.
- Ensure all goods are handled and transported safely and securely.
- Follow allocated delivery schedules and routes efficiently.
- Comply with all relevant road transport, Health & Safety and company procedures.
- Carry out manual handling duties, including loading and unloading goods.
- Maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
- Communicate effectively with customers, warehouse staff and the wider transport team.
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and within required timescales.
What We’re Looking For
- Full Category C / Class 2 HGV licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 2 driving experience.
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience is desirable.
- Good knowledge of Northern Ireland roads and routes.
- Strong understanding of road safety and transport regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules effectively.
