MPA Recruitment are looking for a reliable and hardworkingGeneral Labourerto join our team in a well established construction company in our local area. You will be responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks to support skilled trades, site operations, and project requirements. This role is vital to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, bricklayers, electricians, or machine operators as needed.
- Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare and clean up construction sites or work areas.
- Use hand tools and small power tools under supervision.
- Perform basic demolition, digging, lifting, and carrying tasks.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the site.
- Set up temporary structures such as fencing, signage, or scaffolding (if trained).
- Carry out deliveries and site errands as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a general labourer or in a similar manual role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of health and safety on site.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Punctual, dependable, and willing to take initiative.
- Valid CSCS card (if required by site or location).

- Manual handling or Health & Safety training.
