MPA Healthcare are recruiting Day Care Support Workers on behalf of our clients in the Southern Trust Area. The support worker will work as a member of a team within day services meeting the assessed needs of individual adult service users with learning, physical, and sensory disabilities accessing day services which will be centre-based.
Job Duties:
- Assist in meeting the complex support needs of individual people with learning disabilities. This may include all aspects of intimate and personal care, assistance with eating and drinking.
- Assist people with learning disabilities with a flexible transport service throughout the day.
- Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and recording of progress of individual and group packages of support designed to enhance and maximise the capabilities and independence of the individual.
- Work as required throughout Day Support Services with people with learning disabilities within the Trust.
- Ensure that all legislation, policies, procedures, and strategies are appropriately implemented and adhered to at all times.
Qualifications/Experience:
- 6 months recent experience in a similar healthcare setting.
- Must be NISCC registered or willing to apply.
- Must be willing to complete an Access NI check.
Desirable Criteria:
- Health and Social Care Qualification.
