MPA are excited to continue working alongside our public sector client and have an exciting opportunity for a nursery assistant based in a hospital setting in Dundonald and Lisburn.
Hours of Work: The nursery operates between hours of 7:30am-6pm Monday-Friday (shift pattern will apply with full time hours). Most of these hours will be based at the hospital site in Dundonald but the candidate needs to be flexible to work at the hospital site in Lisburn.
Pay Rate: £12.75
What is a typical Day to Day for a Band 3 Nursery Assistant?
- Ensure all children and parents are warmly greeted and to keep parents informed of their child’s overall development.
- To ensure all equipment and play materials are stored in a logical manner, and in a way which promotes the child’s independence when choosing play materials.
- To always ensure the safety of children.
- To assist the children at mealtimes.
- To ensure that hygiene standards are always maintained when staff are attending to children’s personal hygiene.
- Help plan, prepare and take part in all special events, outings and visits.
- Keep daily records of children specific to your work area.
- To attend staff meetings.
- To carry out reasonable instructions which are given to you by the Directors/Manager/Assistant Manager/Supervisors.
What Criteria Do you need to meet?
- Must hold a recognised Child Care qualification equivalent to at least QCF Level 3 in Playwork or Child Care, Learning And Development.
- Experience working with children and young people is required.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a car.
- Enhanced Access NI is required for this role.
