MPA Recruitment is currently recruiting Temporary Kitchen Assistants on behalf of our clients across the Derry/Londonderry area.
Opportunities are available within a variety of care settings, including nursing homes and Housing with Care schemes.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and serving of nutritious meals.
- Support the catering team in food preparation and kitchen duties.
- Prepare dining areas, tables, and meal trays for service.
- Serve meals to residents in a professional and courteous manner.
- Receive and store food deliveries appropriately.
- Clear tables and dining areas following meal services.
- Carry out routine cleaning of kitchen and dining areas, including the use of industrial cleaning equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, Environmental Health, and Health & Safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen environment.
- Support senior kitchen staff and, where required, assist with additional responsibilities during periods of leave or absence.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 3 months' previous experience within a professional catering, kitchen, or food service environment.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Access NI check
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and visitors.
- Ability to work using your own initiative.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- A positive and caring approach when interacting with residents.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
