We are currently recruiting an experienced Gas Engineer to join a busy and expanding Mechanical & Electrical team covering the North West region.

The Opportunity
Working across domestic and commercial properties throughout the North West, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance repairs, servicing, installations and fault-finding on plumbing and heating systems.
The successful candidate will work within a supportive team environment, delivering a professional and reliable service to clients and tenants.
This role offers excellent work-life balance with Monday to Friday working hours and the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and responsive maintenance works on both void and tenanted properties.
- Diagnose faults on domestic and commercial plumbing and heating systems.
- Service, repair and replace gas boilers and associated heating systems.
- Install sanitary ware, including toilets, baths, basins and hot and cold water storage systems.
- Carry out Legionella testing where required.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain excellent customer service when working within occupied properties.
- Ensure work areas are left clean, safe and tidy at the end of each job.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and electronic documentation accurately.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Provide support across the wider team when required.
Essential Requirements
- Time-served or appropriately qualified Gas Engineer.
- Previous experience within the construction, maintenance or engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and commercial plumbing and heating systems.
- Gas Safe Registered with experience servicing domestic gas systems.
- Valid CSR Card.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working within the social housing sector.
- Experience using PDA, smartphone or mobile working devices.
- Access NI clearance.
- OFTEC registration.
