MPA are currently recruiting for a Laundry Assistant for our client in the Coleraine Area. It will be based in a Care setting and is for Ad hoc shifts with a pay of £13.26 per hour.
Job Duties:
- To launder bed linen and other sundries according to manufacturer’s recommendations at suitable and sufficient intervals
- To launder and iron clothes according to manufacturer’s recommendations
- To distribute clothes to bedrooms and general laundry
- Adhere to policies, procedures, guidelines as directed by Apex Housing
- To ensure and maintain the health and safety of all persons whilst undertaking duties
- To liaise with the Nurse Manager when equipment requires maintenance
- To liaise with the Nurse Manager about re-ordering laundry stocks
- To undertake duties which may be deemed necessary, relevant to your post
Essential Criteria:
- 6 months previous laundry experience (preferable)
- Communication skills. Ability to use personal initiative. Ability to relate to residents
- Physical ability to carry out the requirements of the job
- Caring disposition. Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised. Motivated
- Hardworking and conscientious. Punctual, reliable, honest, trustworthy
- Ability to work under direction
- Flexible re hours required to work
