MPA are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Occupational therapist to join our team in the Coleraine area.

The successful candidate will work as an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team and ensure a high quality, responsive occupational therapy service for patients with highly complex acute and progressive neurological conditions.

The role will have an immediate start available and a pay rate of £24.45 per hour.

  • Role Responsibilities
  • To manage a defined caseload of highly complex patients with a range of both acute and progressive neurological conditions.
  • To undertake highly specialised, client centric occupational therapy assessment and treatment which will address the patients’ functional, psychological and social needs.
  • To monitor and review the effectiveness of intervention outcomes for the patient.
  • To be responsible for maintaining comprehensive and timely patient intervention records and statistical data in accordance with service standards.
  • To provide fieldwork education placements for students.

Essential Criteria

  • Five year’s post qualifying experience, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the treatment of patients with a neurological condition at Band 6 or equivalent or above at time of application
  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registration on application.
  • Assurance that they are fit for post (health assessment)
