Work Setting: Nursing Home

Contract: Permanent

Hours & Pay: £13.26 per hour (market leading hourly rate in the area). Night shift allowance £15 included for all night shifts. Annual salary: Approximately £25,512 per year. You can choose to work either permanent days or permanent nights - you do not have to work both.

Role Overview: We are looking for caring, reliable individuals to support residents in a warm and supportive nursing home environment. The role involves helping residents with daily living tasks and supporting their wellbeing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe, compassionate care to residents
  • Help with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, feeding, etc.)
  • Maintain residents' privacy, dignity, and comfort
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour
  • Report accidents, concerns, or incidents to senior staff
  • Support residents with social activities, conversation, and general wellbeing
  • Accompany residents on outings or appointments when needed
  • Ensure residents are clean, comfortable, and well-presented
  • Assist with basic cleaning tasks within the home

Essential Requirements:

  • You must have one of the following: A NVQ / QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), or At least 6 months' experience caring for vulnerable adults in a formal setting

Additional requirements: Willingness to work towards a QCF Level 2 if not already held. Registration with NISCC (or willingness to register within 6 months).
