About the Role:

MPA Recruitment, on behalf of our client, is recruiting a Project Officer to support the delivery of the organisation's Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile digital transformation projects by supporting project planning, stakeholder engagement, governance and implementation. Working closely with the Project Lead, you'll help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Delivery: Support the planning, coordination and delivery of digital transformation projects. Assist with project documentation, specifications, data migration and user acceptance testing (UAT). Maintain project plans, action logs, risk registers and change documentation. Monitor project progress and contribute to the successful delivery of project milestones.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders. Coordinate project communications and provide regular updates on project progress. Support workshops, meetings and training sessions for project stakeholders.
  • Governance & Project Support: Assist with governance meetings, reporting and project documentation. Support risk, issue and change management activities. Ensure project records are maintained in line with GDPR and organisational policies. Contribute to business cases and project assurance activities where required.
  • Financial & General Support: Assist with project budget monitoring and financial reporting. Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes and follow up on agreed actions. Support continuous improvement initiatives and undertake additional project duties as required.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Criteria:

  • Level 6 qualification (Degree or equivalent) in Business Management, Project Management, IT or a related discipline and at least 1 year's experience supporting or coordinating Digital/IT projects; OR Level 5 qualification (HND or equivalent) in a relevant discipline and at least 2 years' experience supporting or coordinating Digital/IT projects.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Full UK/EU driving licence or access to suitable transport.
