About the Role:
MPA Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for a Marketing Officer. Our client collects, processes and distributes blood and blood components across Northern Ireland, supporting services at approximately 240 locations. Recruiting and retaining blood donors is essential to maintaining safe and appropriate blood stock levels. The postholder will support the development and implementation of integrated marketing strategies designed to recruit and retain blood donors.
The role will also involve preparing reports and developing and delivering presentations to support donor recruitment and retention activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Campaign Support: Support the planning, development and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns to recruit and retain blood donors. Assist with the coordination of promotional activity across a range of channels, including digital, print and community engagement. Help develop clear, engaging marketing materials that encourage donor participation and support donor retention. Contribute ideas and content for campaigns, events and communications aimed at increasing awareness of blood donation.
- Donor Communications & Engagement: Support communications that promote the importance of blood donation and encourage regular donor attendance. Assist with donor recruitment and retention initiatives, ensuring messaging is accurate, accessible and engaging. Liaise with internal teams, external partners and community contacts to support marketing and engagement activity. Respond professionally to enquiries relating to campaigns, donor communications and promotional activity.
- Reporting, Presentations & Administration: Prepare reports, campaign updates and supporting documentation as required. Develop and deliver presentations to support donor recruitment, donor retention and wider marketing activity. Maintain accurate records relating to campaigns, communications and marketing activity. Use Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, to support day-to-day marketing administration.
- General Duties: Support continuous improvement in donor recruitment and retention activity. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure marketing activity is delivered efficiently and to a high standard. Attend meetings, training sessions and briefings relevant to the role. Adhere to GDPR, confidentiality requirements and relevant organisational policies at all times.
What We’re Looking for?
Essential Criteria:
- Applicants must meet one of the following:
- A relevant third-level qualification, such as a degree or professional qualification, plus at least 6 months’ relevant work experience.
- OR A relevant HND or HNC qualification, plus at least 1 year’s experience in a marketing-related role.
- OR At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in a marketing-related role.
- Applicants must also have:
- Experience in public speaking and/or delivering presentations.
- Experience preparing and editing online content, such as press releases, website content and other digital communications.
- Experience coordinating event planners and supporting event-related activity.
- Proficiency in IT packages, including Microsoft Office applications.
