Salary: £15.33 per hour

Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm, Mon - Fri

Contract: 6 months temporary with potential for extension

Skilled Joiner Required

MPA Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with the South Eastern Health & Social Care Trust to recruit a Band 5 Tradesperson [Joiner]. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the safe and effective maintenance of essential healthcare facilities across the Trust.

In this role you’ll be responsible for a range of planned and reactive joinery tasks, from maintaining locking mechanisms and fire doors to installing office furniture and washroom fittings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out joinery repairs, maintenance and installations across Trust facilities
  • Respond to urgent tasks including roof leaks, damaged doors and window repairs
  • Perform safety checks and surveys on building fabric, fire doors and anti-ligature systems
  • Operate and maintain workshop machinery and MEWPs (mobile elevated work platforms)
  • Use digital systems and mobile devices for job tracking and compliance reporting
  • Supervise Maintenance Assistants and contribute to team performance
  • Participate in on-call rota, overtime, and emergency response work as required
Essential Criteria:
  • Completed a formal apprenticeship in Carpentry/Joinery
  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant trade with 3+ years’ post-apprenticeship experience
  • Proficient in the use of workshop machinery and hand/power tools
  • Valid full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
