Job Description:
Banksman
MPA Recruitment are seeking a qualified and experiencedBanksman to support site operations for a well established construction company in the local area. You will ensure the safe loading, unloading, and positioning of vehicles and materials, maintaining clear communication with drivers and crane operators to prevent accidents and ensure efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and guide vehicle and crane movements on site.
- Communicate clearly using hand signals, radios, or other methods to assist operators and drivers.
- Ensure all vehicle movements are conducted in a safe manner, particularly in confined or busy areas.
- Assist with the safe slinging and lifting of loads where required.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and alert operators to any potential hazards.
- Ensure exclusion zones are observed and properly controlled.
- Carry out daily checks and report unsafe conditions or practices immediately.
- Comply with all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Banksman or Slinger/Signaller.
- Valid CPCS / NPORS / CSCS card (or equivalent) for Banksman/Slinger duties.
- Knowledge of safe lifting operations and traffic management.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
- Ability to stay alert and responsive in high-risk environments.
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Preferred
- Experience working on construction, industrial, or logistics sites.
- Familiarity with crane and plant operations.
