Job Description
- MPA are currently recruiting
- Kitchen Assistants for our clients in the
North Down area . These roles will be based across a variety of settings including nursing homes and housing with care facilities.
- Key Duties
- Prepare and assist with providing meals as required.
- Assist in the preparation of food.
- Prepare tables and trays ready for use.
- Serve meals to residents.
- Assist in receiving food and supplies from delivery personnel.
- Clear tables as necessary.
- Carry out regular kitchen and dining room cleaning, including the use of industrial cleaning equipment.
- Adhere to all
Food Handling and Environmental Health regulations .
- Maintain the kitchen area to a high standard in line with
Health & Safety and Environmental Health regulations .
- When required, the post holder may need to act up to cover periods of leave .
Essential Criteria
- Minimum
3 months' previous experience working in a professional kitchen setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to demonstrate personal initiative.
- Ability to relate well to residents.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team .
