MPA Recruitment is currently seeking Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographers to join our growing healthcare team across Northern Ireland. This role offers opportunities across various Radiology Departments within Trust settings, providing high quality diagnostic imaging services while delivering excellent patient care. About the Role
As a Diagnostic Radiographer, you will work within multidisciplinary teams to provide safe, effective diagnostic imaging services while maintaining high standards of patient care and professional practice. You will support service delivery across a range of imaging departments and contribute to maintaining quality standards and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic and imaging examinations as required
- Deliver a high standard of patient care with professionalism, dignity, and respect
- Ensure compliance with radiation protection legislation and departmental protocols
- Carry out routine equipment checks and report faults or maintenance issues
- Produce high quality diagnostic images while following departmental procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Support quality assurance activities and departmental audits
- Assist in supervising and supporting students and assistant staff where required
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across departments
- Participate in flexible working arrangements including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and on call requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised clinical environment
Essential Criteria
- Diploma in Radiography or BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification
- Registered with or eligible for registration with HCPC
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Knowledge of Ionising Radiation Regulations and safe radiographic practice
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a team
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport or suitable alternative arrangements
Desirable Criteria
- Previous NHS or acute hospital experience
- Experience working across multiple imaging modalities
- Knowledge of quality improvement and audit processes
