MPA Coleraine are currently seeking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant based in a day centre in Ballymoney for adults with learning difficulties. This position will have an immediate start available and will be based in a Healthcare setting. The ideal candidates will need to be flexible and be able to work as part of a team.
Job Duties
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
- Ensuring all utensils and dishes are washed correctly and ensure they are stored appropriately
- Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
- Preparing and cooking food
- Correct disposal of waste/rubbish
- Cleaning food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
- Checking and recording food temperatures
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 6 months previous experience working within a kitchen environment or 3 months in a formal care environment
- Willingness to undergo Access NI clearance
- A great team player
Desirable Criteria
- Level 2 food hygiene
