Job Description MPA Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of an established pharmaceutical manufacturer for an experienced Production Manager. You will oversee manufacturing and packaging operations, lead and develop the production team, and ensure targets are achieved while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and compliance. Competitive salary Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week Site based role with day and evening shift arrangements to be confirmed Discretionary bonus scheme Onsite parking What You Will Be Doing Planning manufacturing and packaging schedules to meet production targets and customer demand Leading and developing production staff, managing attendance, performance and training needs Coordinating staffing, raw materials and packaging supplies to keep production running smoothly Monitoring productivity, waste, quality and costs, identifying opportunities for improvement Ensuring operations meet GMP, MHRA, FDA and health and safety requirements Reviewing production records and procedures to maintain accuracy, compliance and data integrity Investigating production issues and implementing corrective actions alongside relevant departments Coordinating equipment maintenance and validation, supporting audits and new manufacturing projects Reporting production performance and highlighting issues affecting finished product availability What We Are Looking For Essential Criteria A degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related subject At least one year of people management experience Experience working to Good Manufacturing Practice standards Strong leadership and project management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel Desirable Criteria Experience in pharmaceutical or food manufacturing Experience of validation activities Ability to write and review scientific reports and documents using sound scientific reasoning About MPA Recruitment MPA Recruitment is an established recruitment agency supporting employers and candidates across industrial, manufacturing, healthcare and administration sectors throughout Northern Ireland.
