Estimator – Office-Based (Project Support Role)

Role Summary
We are looking for a motivated office‑based Estimator to support a busy project team by producing accurate and timely quotations for a variety of client requirements.
This role is ideal for someone with experience or education in mechanical and/or electrical estimating. Candidates with a relevant qualification but limited experience may be considered for a junior position.
You’ll need strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work with technical information, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quotations for projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and requirements
- Clarify missing information with internal teams or engineers
- Gather and compare supplier/subcontractor pricing
- Maintain cost databases (materials, labour, products)
- Support senior estimators with tenders and proposals
- Assist with project handovers between sales, operations, and site teams
- Keep project records organised and up to date
- Contribute to improving estimating processes
Skills & Experience
- Background or education in mechanical/electrical estimating
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and Office
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Organised with ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proactive and willing to learn estimating systems
- Technical knowledge of doors/shutters/façade systems is beneficial but not essential
