MPA Coleraine are currently seeking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant based in Ballycastle. This position will have an immediate start available and will be based in a Day Centre setting. The ideal candidates will need to be flexible and be able to work as part of a team. Hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 1:30pm.

Job Duties

  • Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
  • Ensuring all utensils and dishes are washed correctly and ensure they are stored appropriately
  • Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
  • Preparing and cooking food
  • Correct disposal of waste/rubbish
  • Cleaning food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
  • Checking and recording food temperatures

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 6 months previous experience working within a kitchen environment or 3 months in a formal care environment
  • Willingness to undergo Access NI clearance
  • A great team player

Desirable Criteria

  • Level 2 food hygiene
