MPA are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to work in a hospital located in the Ballycastle area. The successful candidate will assist in the provision of Catering Services within a hospital setting to the highest standard. The role will have an immediate start available and a pay rate of £12.71 - 23.26 depending on shift worked.
Job Duties
- Be responsible for general cleaning duties in the kitchen, dining room and associated areas including vending machines.
- Assist with food service and plate food to clients and staff and replenish food supplies as necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of vegetables, fruits, salads and beverages in accordance with departmental food safety procedures.
- Ensure correct food safety procedures are followed with regard to receipt, storage, regeneration and temperature control of all meals (including cook/freeze or cook/chill).
- Ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and hygienic catering practices are maintained at all times in accordance with the Food Hygiene (General) Regulations (NI) 1996.
- Removal of waste from allocated areas.
Essential Criteria
- Ability to work shifts: Mornings, Afternoons and Weekends (latest finished shift on 5:30pm).
Desirable Criteria
- 6 months’ experience in a similar role.
- Level 2 Food Safety Qualification (or equivalent).
Further Information
- 37.5 hours per week. Shifts include but are not limited to: 7am – 1pm, 1pm – 5:30pm, 11:30am – 2:30pm, 10:30am – 5:30pm.
- Immediate start available.
