Position: Band 5 General Radiographer

Employer: Local Health & Social Care Trust (via MPA Recruitment)

Hours: 37.5 hours/week (Mon–Fri 9am–5pm initially, but flexible 7-day rota possible)

Contract: Temporary until 28 Sept 2026 (initially)

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations
  • Maintain high image quality and patient care standards
  • Follow Ionising Radiation Regulations (NI) 2017 and IR(ME)R (NI) 2018
  • Participate in quality assurance and equipment checks
  • Support and supervise assistant staff and student radiographers
  • Maintain radiation safety and departmental standards
  • Participate in CPD, audits, and service improvement
  • Work flexibly including evenings, weekends, or on-call if required

Essential Requirements

  • BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers
  • HCPC registration (or eligible)
  • Experience in general radiography from training/placements
  • Driving licence and access to a car (with disability exception)
  • Access NI check
  • Radiology Encompass training
