The Role
As a Temporary Chef working through MPA Recruitment, you will provide kitchen support to our clients, helping to maintain high standards of food preparation, service and hygiene.
Duties may include:
- Preparing, cooking and presenting meals to a high standard.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.
- Following menus, recipes and portion control requirements.
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health and safety.
- Ensuring food is stored, handled and prepared safely.
- Working collaboratively with kitchen teams to deliver an efficient service.
- Adapting to different kitchen environments and client requirements.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience working as a chef in a professional kitchen.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment.
- Reliable, flexible and professional approach to work.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work temporary shifts, with the flexibility to meet client requirements.
Relevant food hygiene qualifications are desirable.
