MPA Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Band 3 Human Resources Officer on behalf of the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, based at Holywell Hospital, Antrim. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy HR team supporting employee relations, attendance management and inclusion services across the Trust. The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support within a fast paced HR environment, working closely with managers, staff and trade union representatives.

Role Responsibilities

  • Arrange formal hearings and meetings relating to employee relations and attendance management
  • Prepare and issue correspondence, invitations and documentation for hearings and meetings
  • Respond to HR queries by telephone and email in a professional and confidential manner
  • Provide administrative support across employee relations and attendance processes
  • Assist with sickness absence monitoring and action plans
  • Maintain accurate HR records, databases and filing systems
  • Support the co-ordination of Ill Health Retirement applications
  • Take notes and prepare minutes during meetings and hearings when required
  • Assist with preparation of training materials and HR documentation
  • Support office cover and general administrative duties within the HR team
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with GDPR and Trust policies at all times

Essential Criteria

  • Previous administrative experience within an office environment
  • Experience using computerised systems including Microsoft Office
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work on own initiative

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience within Human Resources
  • Experience within a healthcare or public sector setting
  • Knowledge of employee relations or attendance management processes
  • Minute taking experience

Hours and Pay

  • Band 3 - £12.75
  • 37.5 hours
