MPA Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Band 2 Catering Assistant on behalf of a Day Centre based in Antrim. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team providing meals and refreshments within a busy day care environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments
  • Maintain cleanliness within kitchen and dining areas
  • Wash dishes, utensils and catering equipment
  • Support stock rotation and storage of food supplies
  • Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures
  • Provide a professional and courteous service to service users and staff
  • Assist with general kitchen duties as required

Essential Criteria

  • Previous catering, kitchen or food service experience
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Understanding of food hygiene procedures
  • Reliable and flexible approach to work

Desirable Criteria

  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Previous experience within a healthcare or day centre setting

Hours and Pay

  • Band 2 - £12.71
  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:30am – 14:30pm
  • Weekly Pay
  • Holiday Fund
