Our client, a global leader in the design and manufacture of heavy crushing machinery, is seeking a talented Product Verification & Validation (PVV) Test Engineer to join their advanced engineering team. This is a high-impact role where you'll validate cutting-edge designs, influence product development, and ensure machines perform flawlessly in real-world conditions. What You'll Be Doing
- Working under the Engineering Manager, you'll lead verification and validation activities across new product development and continuous improvement engineering.
- Collaborate with design teams, quality teams, suppliers, dealers and customers ensuring every machine meets the highest standards of performance, durability and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional testing programmes for new and updated designs within NPD.
- Define machine, component and system-level test requirements with product teams.
- Support Quality Improvement Teams by identifying test needs for field issues.
- Work with Continuous Improvement engineering on validation for cost-reduction and design-enhancement projects.
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, schedules and documentation.
- Collect, measure and analyse data using Dewesoft multichannel DAQ and Dewesoft X software.
- Produce clear, insightful test reports and provide engineering recommendations.
- Help establish standards, processes and guidelines for machine, system and control validation.
- Manage test equipment inventory, organisation and calibration.
- Participate in design reviews, offering expert input on validation requirements and test interpretation.
- Coordinate testing activities across multi-functional teams, providing clear instructions and leadership.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow internal controls, policies and safety procedures.
What You'll Bring
Required Criteria
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, Mechatronics, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in New Product Development with a focus on validation.
- Strong knowledge of test equipment, sensors and data acquisition systems.
- Experience with structural, hydraulic, electrical and control systems.
- Skilled in selecting, installing and operating gauges and sensors (strain, pressure, temperature, flow, vibration, sound, analog).
- Ability to analyse vibration data and interpret results.
- Experience presenting validation findings to engineering and product teams.
- Strong background in failure analysis and root-cause investigation.
Job-Related Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred), DAQ systems (Dewesoft preferred) and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
- Excellent organisation, time-management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork.
