Working closely with the Plant & Transport Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day administration of the plant department, supporting fleet operations, plant hire management and internal processes across the business. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support transport runs as required. Process insurance documentation for employees operating company vehicles. Manage plant hire administration, including off-hire processing and supplier coordination. Update and maintain company systems, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date. Process transport permits and related documentation when required. Arrange and coordinate vehicle MOT appointments. Assist with stock control and inventory management. Monitor and track fleet and asset information. Create and manage job cards for maintenance personnel. Process hire costs and liaise with multiple suppliers and vendors. Raise purchase orders and support procurement activities for plant and transport operations. Provide departmental support during periods of annual leave and absence. Assist with general administrative duties to support the wider operational team. The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused professional who can work independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Essential Criteria Minimum of 2 years' experience in an administrative role. Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Flexible and adaptable approach to work. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Full UK Driving Licence. Right to work in the UK. Desirable Previous experience within construction, engineering, transport, logistics, manufacturing or a similar operational environment. Experience working with fleet, plant or asset administration processes.
