MPA Recruitment is partnering with a well-established company in Ballygawley to recruit an Accounting Technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including ledger review, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll using Sage 50 Payroll, including annual P60 and P11D reporting
- Managing daily bank activities such as reconciliations, payment processing, and cash flow forecasting
- Handling accounts payable, ensuring invoices are approved, processed accurately, and VAT is correctly applied
- Managing accounts receivable, including sales invoicing and credit control
- Completing HMRC filings, including VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastat reporting
- Producing statistical reports for the Department of Finance and other stakeholders
- Preparing financial reports for management review
- Liaising with external auditors during the annual financial audit
- Supporting with ad hoc finance duties as required
Candidate Requirements
- AAT/ATI qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience with Sage 50 Payroll or similar payroll systems
- Experience using Sage 200 or Sage 50 accounting software
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
Salary & Benefits
- £28,000 - £32,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
- Private healthcare after 6 months service
- Onsite parking
- Working hours: Monday-Thursday: 8:30am - 5:30pm, Friday: 8:30am - 3:00pm
- Benefits: Medical Aid / Health Care
