MPA Recruitment are looking for a reliable and experienced Ad Hoc Cook to join our team. This role provides cover on an as-needed basis - ideal for someone seeking flexible work or looking to supplement existing hours. You'll be responsible for preparing and serving wholesome, well-balanced meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents, including those with special requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals following planned menus and dietary guidelines.
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Ensure safe food storage, preparation, and service in line with health and safety standards.
- Work closely with care staff to support residents' individual nutritional needs.
- Manage kitchen stock and report shortages to the manager.
About You:
- Previous experience as a Cook or Chef in a care home, hospital, or similar setting (preferred).
- Knowledge of food hygiene regulations and special dietary requirements.
- Food Hygiene Level 2.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- A caring, positive attitude and a commitment to residents' wellbeing.
