Salary: From £29,931.20 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)

Role Overview:

As an Early Years Chef you will prepare, cook, and present age‑appropriate food for all children in the nursery, ensuring minimum wastage and catering for all dietary requirements. You will work in partnership with the team and parents to promote a healthy and nutritious diet, lead cookery club sessions, and support other nursery activities such as BBQs, fetes and staff meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience within a cooking role, in a domestic or commercial setting
  • Passion for nutrition and inspiring healthy eating
  • Sound knowledge of managing dietary requirements, including food allergies
  • Food Safety certification: CIEH L2 or above (must be passed on day 1 in post)
  • Knowledge of COSHH
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues, children and parents
  • Ability to work under pressure
