Hours: Monday-Friday 2.30pm-6.30pm

We’re looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our Twickenham Meadway Day Nursery and Preschool. Our 83-place nursery is proudly Ofsted rated ‘Good’ and is set in a large open green area with Kneller Gardens and Crane Park on its doorstep, which makes it an ideal location for children to explore the outdoor natural environment! The nursery also features a specially designed adventure garden including a role play cycle track, sand pit, shade sail, outdoor classroom, nature exploration garden and much more!

The Role

As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
  • Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
