Location - Reigate, Surrey
As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will support children through interactive play, activities, reading and encouraging their curious minds, and assist colleagues in helping children reach key developmental milestones.
Responsibilities
- Observe and support the development of babies and children up to five years old
- Engage children in interactive play, activities, and reading
- Encourage children’s curiosity and help them reach developmental milestones
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide consistent care and learning opportunities
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children and families
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children (ideal but not essential) – e.g. Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
- Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with colleagues and parents
- Strong communication skills with both children and adults
