We’re looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join our Reigate nursery. As an Early Years Apprentice you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5, providing interactive play, activities, reading and encouraging curiosity, creating learning opportunities that support the children’s learning. With the support of your assessor you will attend all required training and coursework for completion of your formal qualification and proactively use new ideas and initiatives, including feedback, to enhance development and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Look after babies and children up to age 5.
  • Provide interactive play, activities, reading and learning opportunities.
  • Attend all required training and coursework for your apprenticeship.
  • Reflect on and proactively apply new ideas and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • English qualification GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2, or willingness to complete alongside apprenticeship.
  • Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential (e.g., nursery staff, nursery assistant, teaching assistant, nanny, childminder).
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
  • Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with colleagues and parents.
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.

All roles subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
