Overview

Nursery – Bright Horizons Horsham Day Nursery and Preschool is hiring an Early Years Assistant.

Salary starts from £26,662.20 per annum (dependent on qualification and experience).

We are looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our Bright Horizons Horsham Day Nursery and Preschool.

The Role

As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5.

You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive care and supervision for babies and children up to age 5.
  • Engage children through interactive play, activities, reading, and developmentally appropriate experiences.
  • Support colleagues in tracking each child’s development toward key milestones.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience working with children is ideal but not essential (examples: Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar).
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for every child.
  • Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with colleagues and parents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults using a range of techniques.
