Role Overview: We are looking for 3 Early Years Apprentices to join our nursery team. As an Early Years Apprentice, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5 and create stimulating learning experiences through interactive play, activities and reading. With the support of your assessor, you will attend all required training and coursework for completion of your formal qualification and will reflect and proactively use new ideas and initiatives to enhance development and learning.
Responsibilities:
- Look after babies and children up to 5 years old in a safe and supportive environment.
- Plan and deliver interactive play, activities, and reading that encourage curiosity and support learning.
- Attend all required training and coursework for apprenticeship qualification.
- Reflect on practice and incorporate new ideas and initiatives to enhance development and learning.
Qualifications:
- Commitment to completing your apprenticeship.
- English qualification: GCSE Grade C / Level 4 or above, or Functional Skills Level 2. If not already held, a willingness to complete alongside your apprenticeship.
- Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential (e.g. Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder).
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
- Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with colleagues and parents.
- Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
