Salary – £29,612.90 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)
Hours – 40 per week, Monday to Friday, Permanent

Role Overview
We are looking for a Baby Room Leader to join our 56 place nursery located under the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge and overlooking the Ashton Court Estate. The nursery has recently undergone a full refurbishment, offering an impressive outdoor space with pagodas, mud kitchens and extensive play areas, as well as a spacious indoor environment with a calming sleep area, loose parts play and a curiosity corner. The role involves leading the baby room team and supporting the broader nursery provision.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, support and inspire the room team to deliver exceptionally high quality care and education.
- Promote and ensure child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding.
- Maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and other professionals to meet each child’s individual needs.
- Oversee daily routines, learning activities and documentation in line with EYFS standards.
- Support staff development and early career progression.
Qualifications
- Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting – ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Practitioner or Early Years Educator.
- Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and wider legislative requirements for working with children.
- Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with colleagues and parents/carers.
- Effective use of a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.
