We are looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join our Bishopbriggs nursery.

The Role
As an Early Years Apprentice, you will work as part of a team to care for babies and children up to age 5. You will support learning through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging curiosity; create learning opportunities aligned to development. With the support of your assessor, you will attend required training and coursework to complete your formal qualification. You will reflect and proactively apply new ideas and feedback to enhance development and learning.
Responsibilities
- Support daily care routines and learning activities for children up to 5 years old
- Participate in planning and delivering age-appropriate experiences that promote development
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to support children's progress
- Engage in ongoing training and assessment as part of the apprenticeship
Qualifications and Experience
- Commitment to completing your apprenticeship
- English qualification: GCSE Grade C/Level 4 or above or Functional Skills Level 2; willingness to complete alongside apprenticeship if not held
- Previous experience working with children beneficial (e.g., Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar)
- Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
- Ability to build trust and strong working partnerships with colleagues and parents
- Excellent communication skills with children and adults
