medical technology/manufacturing business
in Oxfordshire with the recruitment of a
Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Engineer . This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on engineer who enjoys
fault-finding, preventative maintenance, equipment servicing and solving technical problems
within a busy laboratory, cleanroom, manufacturing and facilities environment. Working within a
highly regulated medical device environment , you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety and compliance of laboratory equipment, cleanroom facilities, utilities and building services. The role is primarily
site-based with little or no travel , giving you the opportunity to take ownership of a varied range of equipment and facilities within a modern technical environment. Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on laboratory, production, cleanroom and facilities equipment Diagnose faults, coordinate repairs and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime Maintain and manage preventative maintenance schedules Coordinate external contractors, engineers and specialist service providers Arrange servicing, calibration and specialist repairs where required Maintain accurate maintenance records, SOPs, risk assessments and asset registers Manage critical spare parts and maintenance requirements Support Production, Quality and R&D teams with equipment qualification, validation and verification Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, performance and maintenance processes Promote high standards of Health & Safety across the site Work within controlled cleanroom environments, following required gowning and PPE procedures About You
We are looking for a practical, organised and proactive engineer who enjoys being
hands-on, solving technical problems and keeping equipment and facilities running efficiently . You will ideally have: An engineering apprenticeship, HNC/HND, degree or equivalent qualification Previous maintenance experience within a laboratory, manufacturing or engineering environment Experience maintaining industrial, laboratory or production equipment Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience with both preventative and reactive maintenance The ability to work independently and take ownership of maintenance activities Strong communication and organisational skills Good Health & Safety awareness Desirable Experience
Experience within any of the following would be advantageous: Medical devices, pharmaceutical, biotech or another regulated environment ISO 13485 or GMP HVAC, cleanroom or laboratory equipment Calibration management IOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification Just a few of the benefits availabe:
