Join our team at Terex Omagh and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to contribute to our Facilities team. Location: Omagh. Hours: 39 per week.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations and Standards.
  • Ensure the smooth running and maintenance of all manufacturing and facility equipment on a daily basis.
  • Assist to ensure that all facilities, plant & equipment are operating and available to full capacity.
  • Actively minimize plant and equipment downtime in support of production by responding quickly to breakdown situations when required.
  • Carry out planned maintenance on bespoke equipment and contribute to continuous improvements on machines and processes.
  • Actively manage the preventative maintenance program for the repair and modification of machines and facilities as appropriate or required providing reports on a regular basis.
  • Methodically troubleshoot and fault‑find mechanical and control equipment in order to determine the root cause of problems.
  • Liaise on an ongoing basis with Supervisors, Managers and team members.
  • Be available on call (rota based) to provide maintenance and breakdown cover over a 24‑hour period.
  • Ensure all paperwork is up to date, completed and filed.
  • Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by Management.

What you’ll bring

Essential

  • A Third Level Qualification or Vocational Time Served within a mechanically based environment.
  • Experience of industrial paint/spray installations and blast equipment.
  • Experience of maintaining plant/equipment/control systems in a high volume production environment.
  • A good understanding of engineering principles and an ability to read schematics/drawings.
  • Strong Communication skills.
  • A Full Driving License.

Desirable

  • Competence & experience of plc control systems within a manufacturing plant.
  • Electrical Qualification would be desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of pumps, valves, motors, power train, gears, bearings and lubricants.
  • Forklift Truck License or training to acquire.
  • Mobile Elevated Work Platform License or training to acquire.
